In my early 20s, I lived in an apartment with other girls, and there was often a lovely surprise in the butter dish: brie! As I look back on that, I realize how wonderful and foolish it was. Today, I would rarely spend my hard-earned money on brie; butter is expensive enough! I am now in my 30s, married, with a mortgage, and I am still paying the credit card bills for those years of decadence. But as much as I complain about the extravagances of my youth, I have wonderful stories to share, and wisdom gained along the way. I hope to impart some wisdom here, and help others avoid the pitfalls I have experienced. However, I am only in my 30s, and I realize there is a lot to be learned in this life. Here is my butter dish today. It’s empty! We ran out of butter, and I’m waiting to find a good price before purchasing more.
